I hope you’ve all had a lovely summer. There’s still a couple of weeks before autumn officially starts but it feels like there’s already a shift – many of you are returning from holidays and the new school term has begun. Perfect timing then for the new schedule!
We’ve got a few exciting updates at triyoga Chelsea but first Hither Green… I won’t be starting the classes back up just yet unfortunately as it’s not been possible to find a suitable time or venue. But I am still looking into all the options and I am hoping for the new year, fingers crossed. I’ll keep you posted!
At triyoga Chelsea, all the usual class times stay the same but we’ve got a couple of new formats, starting from 11 September. First up, the Sunday 3.30pm class will become a traditional counted full primary series class (from 17 September). That means I count through every vinyasa in the primary series and the pace is fairly quick so we stay focused on correct breathing in and out of postures. Perfect if you’re a regular Mysore student and want to sharpen your vinyasas or you have an established ashtanga practice. This one is not suitable for beginners though.
Then there’s the Tuesday evening class, 7.30pm, which is now “ashtanga technique”. In each class we’ll unpick a different aspect of the practice – maybe jump backs one week and surya namaskaras the next. We’ll still flow through the series but with more time for some technical explorations. It’ll be a fun one.
The Saturday morning led class at 11.30am stays the same and is open level so suitable for beginners and experienced students. Plus, of course, there’s the Mysore classes on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Complete beginners always welcome. I’m also running a beginners course in October; full details at www.triyoga.co.uk. So there really is something for everyone.
As always, please do get in touch if you have questions and I’m always happy to chat after class. And don’t forget you can follow my page on Facebook to keep in the loop on other updates and discussions.
See you on the mat soon!
