Health promotion
I’ve worked with GMFA, a health promotion charity, since 1996. I started out in 1996 as a volunteer, taking on the roles of Communications Group Co-ordinator and Vice-Chair, and later became a paid staff member in 2009, writing printed health promotion resources and looking after the PR. I wrote booklets on sexual health, HIV-prevention, and general wellbeing, in such a way as to appeal to gay men. I also wrote numerous news releases, press articles and briefings on everything from campaign launches and research findings, to community events and fundraising initiatives.

Yoga
I took my first ashtanga yoga lesson in 2000. It’s since become a regular and important part of my life, so much so that I’m taking time out from my City life to travel the world and study it in more depth. So far, my journey has taken me to Crete, where I spent six months at Yoga Plus, and on to Mysore where I am spending several months studying at the K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute.
